The Operations Supervisor is the most senior shift-based position at the company. While Operations Managers are responsible for longer term success, the Operations Supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day success. This means finding a way to successfully complete our daily operational work as well as ensuring that our shift work is done to an optimal standard. This means building ground team efficiency at every opportunity as well as determining what tasks need to be completed, and why. The Operations Supervisor will also be required to perform task-based shift work as required and in-line with business seasonality.
THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT
You will be:
- Acting as the ‘right hand’ to the Operations Manager
- Ensuring accurate spare part inventory is kept at all times
- Ensuring the detailed components of the operations are functioning and polished to increase ranger and mechanic efficiency
- Internal team shift planning
- Leading and supervising the ground team during their shift
- Leading and instructing efficient way for 3PL’s to operate in their markets
- Leading efforts to maintain our infrastructure (vehicles, facilities, etc.)
- Managing shift work when assigned, but particularly outside of regular office hours as this is a 24/7 business
- Taking ownership of daily fleet management topics
- Handling all assigned/ additional task work as needed
KPI’s of the role:
- Task efficiency metrics including battery level at swap
- Rebalancing and park task %age
- Ranger efficiency: Time on Task %age, Search Efficiency, Drop off Efficiency
- Mechanic efficiency: Repairs/hour, repaired vehicles/hour, Time on Task %age
- Intraday rate and inactive rate
- Inventory management compliance
- Other compliance metrics
YOU’LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Effective communication in English (local language skills are beneficial)
- Strong leader and ability to understand our high-level business needs as well as the day-to-day details
- Capable to learn our tech, processes, and key KPIs
- Strong ownership over your work and ability to lead others
- The ability to detect problems, recognize important information, and link information sources to trace potential causes and look for relevant details
- The ability to manage and develop employees in order to enhance their development and performance
- The ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner, being able to adjust to rules, procedures, and policies, as well as adhering to standards and values.
- Able to use Google Maps, company apps, etc.
- Able to use computer (programms)
