About the Team

At DoorDash, people are our most important asset. The People Business Partner team partners with business leaders to align talent strategies to our long-term objectives. As we grow globally, we need HR leaders who can balance thoughtful strategy with hands-on execution. This role is key to shaping our employee experience in Brazil and ensuring DoorDash remains an employer of choice.

About the Role

We’re hiring an HR Business Partner Manager to serve as the HR site lead for Brazil, based in São Paulo. This generalist role will support both corporate and frontline populations. You’ll manage the day-to-day HR needs of the Brazil team while collaborating with our Centers of Excellence (COEs) — including Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations, Talent Development, and DEI — to ensure Brazil’s needs are heard and met. You will need to be scrappy and hands-on, while also thinking strategically to scale with the business.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:

  • Be the primary HR representative and a trusted advisor for our Brazil team, supporting both local leadership and employees.
  • Manage daily HR operations, employee engagement, and site culture, while helping build scalable, compliant HR practices.
  • Work cross-functionally with global COEs to localize programs such as benefits, compensation, performance management, and compliance.
  • Coach managers and leaders on people strategy, including organizational design, performance development, workforce planning, and change management.
  • Ensure a strong employee experience through proactive support, issue resolution, and thoughtful implementation of global initiatives.
  • Partner with business leaders and the global People team to monitor organizational health, identify risks, and implement data-informed solutions.
  • Serve as the voice of the Brazil team in global initiatives, ensuring their needs are represented and supported.
  • Stay current with Brazilian labor laws and employment regulations, advising leaders and ensuring compliance.

We’re excited about you because you have:

  • 6+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3+ years in an HR Business Partner or HR generalist role, ideally in a fast-paced or tech/startup environment.
  • Deep understanding of Brazilian HR regulations and practices, including experience supporting both corporate and operations/field teams.
  • A scrappy, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality — you’re comfortable moving between tactical work and strategic planning.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills — you are a trusted partner to employees and leaders alike.
  • Experience working across geographies and time zones, and partnering with global teams.
  • High business acumen, strong judgment, and bias for action.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.

Why You’ll Love Working at DoorDash

  • We are leaders – Everyone at DoorDash contributes to our culture of ownership.
  • We are operators – We move quickly and make smart decisions with data.
  • We are learners – There’s always room to grow, and we support your development.
  • We are one team – Collaboration and inclusion are at the core of how we work.

Additional Information

  • Hybrid role (São Paulo-based)
  • Travel: Occasional domestic/international travel expected (~15-20%)
  • Reports to: Regional HR Leader (Americas)
