DashMart is a new team at DoorDash focused on building a new type of convenience store, offering both household essentials and local restaurant favorites to our customers' doorsteps.

About the Role

We're looking for a Pricing Specialist who is excited to help build DashMart, DoorDash's first party grocery and convenience store. You will own execution of the pricing strategy, ensuring the DashMart offering remains competitive and compelling across Canada whilst preserving product margin. The Pricing Specialist will collaborate closely with multiple cross-functional partners, including merchandising, category management, vendor management and supply chain teams.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Execute day to day item-level pricing updates for volatile categories to ensure item pricing remains in line with the overarching pricing strategy
  • Monitor competitor prices nationally and regionally, recommending and executing pricing changes to ensure DashMart remains competitive in every market whilst protecting product margin
  • Monitor supplier pricing, recommending and executing adjustments to remain competitive and protect margin, and escalating significant changes when required.
  • Work closely with the vendor management and merchandising functions to create and execute ongoing and periodic item-level promotions to deliver a compelling customer experience
  • Conduct periodic pricing deep-dives to identify further opportunities for pricing adjustments in line with the overall pricing strategy

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
