Department Summary
Our legal teams support the innovators driving the growth and success of EchoStar and its subsidiaries. From identifying and supporting a variety of corporate legal matters to negotiating the industry’s evolving legal landscape, our corporate counselors bring their own kind of invention to effect positive change across the company.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and draft content licensing agreements (such as those with CBS, Disney, Fox, NBC, Turner, local broadcasters, movie studios and FAST providers), ad tech agreements, and data exchanges with multiple players in the digital advertising ecosystem (including advertisers and agencies, supply-side platforms (SSPs), data management platforms (DMPs), data analytics providers, ad exchanges, and device platforms)
- Collaborate with internal specialists to address issues around intellectual property, data security, and consumer privacy
- Review and interpret agreements and company policies and appropriately communicate risks and recommendations to legal and business leaders
- Work closely with the Content Acquisition and Media Sales business teams to accomplish company goals and strategic objectives
- Assist with other responsibilities as needed
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in at least one state
- 2+ years of full-time contract drafting experience
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication, time management, project management, organization, and multi-tasking skills
- A passion for the in-house practice of law, as well as media and technology
- A desire to work closely with our business teams on rolling out new technology, negotiating deals, and complying with existing agreements
- Energy, resourcefulness, and a demonstrated desire to achieve

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $116,875.00/Year - $158,125.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
