Job Duties and Responsibilities
The AEO/SEO Specialist is responsible for optimizing site visibility across both traditional search engines (Google) and AI-powered answer engines (LLMs). This role focuses on the intersection of technical SEO and machine readability, ensuring our site is structured, authoritative, and eligible for AI-generated responses. You will conduct technical audits, perform QA on new pages, and monitor the evolving landscape of generative search to identify strategic opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Optimization & Audits: Perform comprehensive technical audits to resolve issues related to crawling, indexing, and site architecture; implement schema markup to enhance eligibility for rich results and AI citations
- Testing & QA: Conduct SEO/AEO testing for new pages, including checking indexability, mobile-friendliness, and rendering. Write detailed specifications for development teams to ensure best practices are met
- Monitoring & Performance Tracking: Configure and maintain tracking implementations to measure AEO signals, AI-driven referral visibility, and traditional search rankings; monitor LLM crawling behavior and perform sentiment analysis
- Reporting & Data Analysis: Maintain reporting systems using Google Search Console, Adobe Analytics, and SEMRush; report on performance trends across local, shopping, and generative search results
- Strategic Research: Stay ahead of Google algorithm updates and shifts in AI platform behavior, translating platform changes into actionable recommendations
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 2-3 years of experience in AEO, SEO, or digital analytics
- Experience with or exposure to Google Search Console, SEMRush, and Adobe Analytics (or similar web analytics platforms)
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally to implement data-driven technical recommendations
- Precision in managing machine-readable data and structured content to ensure compliance with AEO best practices
- Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to robots.txt, sitemaps, and Core Web Vitals
- Foundational understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to search engine crawling and rendering

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $63,150.00/Hour - $90,000.00/Hour
