EchoStar is seeking a skilled and results-oriented Data Scientist to lead the development and deployment of enterprise-scale machine learning (ML) and deep learning solutions. In this critical role, you will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and ML engineers to create impactful AI models that enhance automation, optimization, and decision intelligence across the organization. This position calls for hands-on technical depth in ML, strong statistical foundations, and a sharp ability to translate business problems into scalable AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, train, and deploy ML and deep learning models for real-world business use cases
Build scalable pipelines for model training, validation, deployment, and ongoing monitoring
Analyze large datasets to generate actionable insights and drive decision-making
Develop modular APIs and tools to integrate models into enterprise platforms
Collaborate with teams to define use cases and translate business needs into ML solutions
Apply testing, benchmarking, automation, and monitoring to ensure reliable model performance and governance
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in ML, deep learning, or AI development in production settings
Skills and Qualifications:
Python skills with expertise in Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch, FastAPI/Flask
Skilled in data processing using Pandas, NumPy, SQL, and PySpark
Proficient in ML techniques including regression, classification, clustering, forecasting, and model evaluation
Experience with deep learning for vision, NLP, and tabular data using TensorFlow and PyTorch
Hands-on with AWS tools (SageMaker, Lambda, S3, EKS, Athena) and MLOps practices for model lifecycle management
Familiar with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform for scalable ML deployment in Agile, cross-functional teams

Compensation: $95,634.00/Year - $136,626.00/Year
