Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and educate development teams on processes and automation
- Resolve ETL job related issues
- Provide technical guidance to L1 team members
- Able to perform effective Incident Management from incident start through resolution, partnering with Development to determine root causes, and driving rigorous Problem Management to follow through on actions
- Anchor RCA meetings and develop operation matrices
- Develop strategy for continuous improvement of production systems
- Job will require shift working hours(on call support)
Skills, Experience and Requirements
- Engineering degree with 8 plus years of experience in operation/ production support of large Enterprise Data Warehouse
- High level of proficiency in SQL queries
- Should have knowledge on AWS services - s3 bucket , Athena ,Redshift ● Good hands on experience in Unix operating system and shell scripting
- Troubleshooting of ETL jobs and addressing production issue and suggest job enhancements
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for defects and failures. Close loop with development team to fix production defects. Prepare production implementation plans for applications. Prepare production deployment notes
- Experience working with external job schedulers such as AWS data pipeline, Control-M
- Having a background of ETL development is an added advantage
- Good Communication skills – written and verbal with the ability to understand and interact with the diverse range of stakeholders
