Job Duties and Responsibilities
Staff Packet Core Engineer sought by DISH Wireless, L.L.C. in Littleton, Colorado.
Design, deploy, and support 5G core network functions across On-Premise or Public Cloud using the cloud-native infrastructure. Engage with vendor personnel at Nokia, Mavenir, and Oracle vendor personnel to set up new services and architecture. Manage 5G Network Functions (i.e., AMF/SMF/UPF, PCF, SCP, UDM/UDR, and Regulatory Services) and implement Service Based Interfaces. Responsible for Software LCM (Life Cycle Management), including Deployment using Orchestration, Integration with peer nodes, E2E Testing, and Software Upgrades. Investigate production customer-impacting issues to provide engineering recommendations and solutions. Participate in new feature testing for 5G Core Network functions concerning OSS/BSS systems interface. Analyze 4G/5G Call Flow related to voice/data and messaging services using 3GPP Specification reference.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Requires Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field plus 2 years of 5G Wireless Core Network Engineering, Telecommunication, OSS/BSS Software experience. Also requires experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
- 5G Packet Core (2 years)
- Architecture, Design, implementation and troubleshooting (2 years)
- Orchestration on Public Cloud (AWS required) (1 year)
- RADCOM, Wireshark, Rekuten and Protocol Analysis tool set (2 years)
- Kubernetes and Docker. (2 years)
- DevOps and CI/CD methodology. (2 years)
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $151,681.91/Year
