Job Duties and Responsibilities
This Financial Analyst II position within the DISH Finance organization supports operations of the Manufacturing & Distribution (M&D) department. Operations include forward and reverse logistics, and the repair and refurbishment of customer electronic equipment for Pay TV, 5G Wireless and Broadband business lines. The M&D Finance team is looking for an experienced financial analyst with strong analytical modeling skills and an ability to establish productive working relationships with non-finance personnel in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the annual budget and rolling forecasts
- Analyze and interpret monthly financial performance, including commentary on variances to budget and monthly trends
- Build and maintain financial models for reporting on financial performance, including key operational performance metrics and business drivers
- Create and deliver financial presentations to leadership and executives
- Attain a solid working knowledge of field operations and other department teams
- Provide financial business decision support and analysis on process improvement initiatives, new business operations and cost-savings opportunities
- Perform ad-hoc analysis for operations and finance leadership
- Support accounting month-end close activities and quarterly/year end processes, maintaining a strong working relationship with Accounting
- Support field operations sites on financial issues
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 1-4 years of experience in FP&A, finance or accounting, including month-end financial reporting, variance analysis and budgeting
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong Excel and presentation skills, preferably with a working knowledge of Google Workspace applications
- Knowledge of financial concepts for inventory, supply chain, logistics and freight is beneficial and a plus
- Demonstrated ability to overcome challenges with a need to achieve
- High level energy and intelligence necessary to thrive in a Fortune 500 company
- Ability to analyze and understand financial information with an operational perspective
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to prepare financial presentations and effectively present information in meetings
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year
