Department Summary
Surpassing network limitations of the past, the Wireless Network Engineering (WNE) organization for Boost Mobile is expanding and enhancing the country’s first cloud-native, standalone 5G wireless network. This is the foundation of a connected world, with the flexibility to satisfy the social, economic and transformative needs of today and the future.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a diverse team of Principal Engineers to define systems and solution architectures for wireless network enhancements and customer solutions that enable revenue growth
- Provide strategic direction for network planning and optimization to improve network performance and scalability
- Enhance the end-to-end system architecture to eliminate breakpoints in the network
- Define and implement capacity-planning strategies, in collaboration with key stakeholders across the organization, to align with broad network objectives
- Drive 5G network architecture, evolution, capacity and redundancy planning activities
- Lead architecture and design of algorithms and software tools to inform decisions, improve reliability, automate processes, and ensure the Boost Mobile network outperforms the competition
- Lead collaboration of multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless system integration, exceptional network performance, and industry-leading customer satisfaction
Skills, Experience and Requirements
To be successful as a Senior Manager of Systems and Solution Architecture within the Wireless Network Engineering organization at Boost Mobile, you will need the following qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Network Engineering, Wireless Systems Engineering or Computer Science
- 10+ years of end-to-end network architecture, systems engineering and operational experience deploying carrier-class networks for Mobile Network Operators and Internet Service Providers
Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of cloud, datacenter, network, security, 5G SA systems and ORAN architecture, 4G network architecture and 3GPP standards
- Experience with implementation of backbone and transport networks, datacenter fabrics, network virtualization, Internet addressing, carrier-class routing and switching systems, and 5G core technologies.
- Demonstrated experience with automation of network deployments, RCA and remediation of systems and network issues
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and other technologies to help relieve the burden of network operations
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide direction for a diverse group of Principal Engineers
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects running concurrently, with competing priorities and periodic interruptions due to operational escalations
- Experience with Agile development, resource and contractor management
- Significant experience with RFPs, PoCs, vendor management and budget processes
- Experience with pre-sales solutioning, costing and scoping customer requirements
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $127,050.00/Year - $181,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
