Dive into the DIRECTV for Business organization as a summer of 2025 intern! The work our team does directly impacts the DIRECTV customer experience through providing support for our Product Development organization by working on real-world problems relating to the overarching customer experience.

This in person role is based in Clarksburg, Maryland. The selected candidate will work with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to create innovative video solutions for the commercial market.

Project Examples:

  • Develop artificial intelligence and machine learning simulation tools.
  • Leverage open-source tools such as OpenCV, CVAT, FFMPEG, YOLO.
  • Create applications that automate the video experience.
  • Develop an application that uses Artificial Intelligence to identify and automatically switch to the most exciting sports game in real time.

Majors/Concentrations we’re looking for:

  • Computer Science
  • Computer Engineering
  • Software Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering

Skills and Experience:

  • Programming languages: Python, C++, Java familiarity preferred
  • GPU programming such as CUDA Toolkit (GPU-accelerated libraries)
  • Knowledge in Computer Vision and Image processing
  • Operating Systems: Linux and/or Android familiarity
  • Networking Technologies: Familiarity with TCP/IP networking protocols and related support tools
  • Familiarity with Networking Test Tools
  • Ability to independently synthesize requirements
  • Takes ownership
  • Strong solving problem skills
  • Demonstrated success in a virtual environment
  • Strong written and documentation skills
  • Cross functional collaboration; Strong presentation skills

10 week internship program. 6/2/25 - 8/8/25 or 6/16/25 - 8/22/25.

Position requires full US work authorization now and in the future.

This position can earn $28 - $34 per hour based upon academic status, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at DIRECTV offers.
