This role will be based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

In this role, you will

  • Lead and manage the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and end-point systems.
  • Perform and oversee regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure system integrity and security.
  • Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive measures to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the IT Service Desk team to resolve complex technical issues and provide advanced support to end-users.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Implement and manage robust security measures to protect company data and systems.
  • Utilize Microsoft Intune for device management, ensuring compliance and security of all endpoints.
  • Lead the planning and execution of IT projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL practices and service management frameworks.
  • Mentor and provide training to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

We are looking for someone who has

  • 4-5 experience in IT service desk or helpdesk management, with a proven track record of leading a team.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of IT end point systems, software, hardware, and networking.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
  • Experience with ITIL practices and service management frameworks, with a focus on continuous improvement.

    This role requires working on rostered night shifts and occasional work on weekends.
