This holistic approach empowers Digantara to monitor all Resident Space Objects(RSOs) in orbit, fostering comprehensive domain awareness.

The Space Operations Analyst will support real-time monitoring and analysis of space activity, enabling timely insights, risk assessment, and operational decision-making for mission assurance.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 1–3 years of experience in space operations, SDA/SSA, or orbital mechanics-related domains.

  • Strong analytical ability to interpret complex space data and identify anomalies or risks.

  • Comfortable working in high-tempo, mission-critical environments with strong ownership and communication.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze space domain activity to identify events, anomalies, and potential risks to space assets.

  • Utilize diverse data sources including TLEs, sensor observations, and open-source intelligence for analysis.

  • Maintain and update Resident Space Object (RSO) catalogs to ensure accurate tracking and custody.

  • Support real-time and near-real-time operations to maintain continuous situational awareness.

  • Generate actionable reports, alerts, and briefings on ongoing or emerging space events.

  • Perform modeling, simulation, and data-driven analysis to support operational decisions.

  • Develop and deploy Python-based scripts to automate workflows and improve analytical efficiency.

  • Contribute to operational procedures, workflows, and response strategies including course-of-action analysis.

  • Support testing, validation, and integration of SDA algorithms into operational systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and operational outcomes.

  • Participate in simulations and readiness exercises to enhance operational capability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Aerospace, Astrodynamics, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years of experience in space operations or related analytical domains.

  • Strong understanding of orbital mechanics and astrodynamics principles.

  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, and automation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Experience with SDA/SSA workflows such as conjunction analysis, orbit determination, and tracking.

  • Familiarity with space object catalogs, TLE data, and tools such as SGP4, Orekit, or GMAT.

  • Experience with data visualization and situational awareness tools.

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS) and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).

  • Understanding of software development best practices including version control and testing.

  • Ability to operate in a 24/7 mission environment, including shift-based work if required.

  • Strong communication and briefing skills for operational reporting.
