Team Overview

As Partnerships Manager at DiDi, you will build and manage strategic alliances with mobility service providers, corporate clients, and ecosystem partners to increase ride volume, expand service offerings, and drive revenue growth; success will be measured by a range of internal metrics including rider growth and retention.

You will join the Strategic Partnerships team focused on scaling B2B and platform integrations, enabling regional market expansion, and delivering seamless cross-product experiences that support DiDi's mission to make transportation more efficient and accessible.

Importantly you should have strong negotiation skills and confidence working with external stakeholders. You ideally have experience working with external stakeholders who operate outside of a fast-paced startup environment. Some partnerships will have technical considerations, and therefore understanding the current state of our application and future enhancements will be essential.

Role Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritise partnership opportunities with various infrastructure partners (eg. airports, stadiums, event operators)

  • Negotiate commercial terms, SLAs, and delivery roadmaps for new partnerships, ensuring launch milestones are met within agreed timelines and contracts deliver predefined ROI metrics.

  • Develop and manage end-to-end partner onboarding and integration processes with Product and Operations teams

  • Monitor partner performance using KPIs (GMV, activation, retention and experience) and run quarterly business reviews to optimise joint growth plans and corrective actions to further improve partner relations once onboarded.

  • Design and execute go-to-market campaigns with Marketing and Operations to drive partner-led user acquisition and retention, targeting specific uplift goals for promo conversion and repeat usage.

  • Build long-term relationships and executive sponsorship with strategic partners through regular engagement, joint strategy planning, and co-investment proposals to secure multi-year commitments.

  • Lead cross-functional internal alignment (Legal, Finance, Risk, Ops) for partnership lifecycle decisions, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements and effective risk controls during scale-up phases.

Role Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience in partnerships or business development is ideal.

  • Experience: Minimum 3–6 years in strategic partnerships, B2B sales, or corporate development within mobility, platform, fintech, or logistics sectors, with proven results in closing and scaling enterprise partnerships.

  • Commercial skills: Strong negotiation and commercial modeling ability to structure deals that balance growth, take-rates, and unit economics for a high-volume marketplace.

  • Technical fluency: Comfortable collaborating with product and engineering teams on API integrations, data sharing, and technical onboarding, with the ability to translate technical constraints into commercial timelines.

  • Analytical mindset: Data-driven decision maker who can define KPIs, run cohort analyses, and use results to optimise partner performance and forecasting.

  • Communication and influence: Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills, able to build executive-level relationships and drive cross-functional alignment in a fast-moving organisation.

  • Personal qualities: Self-starter with strong ownership, resilience in ambiguous environments, customer-centric thinking, and a collaborative attitude suited to DiDi’s scale and pace. (We do work quite fast!)
