Team Overview

As a Product Manager at DiDi, you will define and deliver mobility and platform products that increase user engagement; your work will be measured by improvements in monthly active users (MAU), and Gross Booking Value (GBV). You will join a cross-functional product team focused on building scalable, data-driven features for ride-hailing and public transportation, ensuring the product roadmap aligns with DiDi’s strategic priorities of operational excellence, platform safety, and profitable growth.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end product development for assigned mobility and public transportation features, delivering clear KPIs such as a 5–15% DAU increase or a 10% reduction in transaction conversion rates within six months.

  • Define product strategy and roadmap informed by market analysis, user research, and DiDi’s business objectives, aligning initiatives with regional GMV and retention targets.

  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, design, operations, and policy teams to launch scalable solutions, ensuring on-time delivery and post-launch monitoring of availability, latency, and user satisfaction metrics.

  • Use quantitative analysis and A/B testing to validate hypotheses, enhance product experience and continuously optimize strategies for user acquisition and retention.

  • Partner with regional operations and marketing to design go-to-market plans that achieve adoption targets, grow DNU(daily new user), and maintain service quality during rapid scale-ups.

  • Own product metrics dashboard and reporting cadence, translating data into actionable tasks to iterate features and achieve agreed-upon business outcomes.

  • Manage stakeholder communications and product documentation for cross-border initiatives, ensuring compliance with local regulations and DiDi’s safety and trust standards.

Role Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if compensated by relevant product experience.

  • 3+ years of product management experience in consumer internet, mobility, logistics, or marketplace products, with a proven record of shipping features that moved business KPIs at scale.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and comfort working with experimentation platforms to derive insights and quantify impact in a data-rich environment.

  • Solid understanding of marketplace dynamics (supply-demand balance, incentives, pricing, matching algorithms) and how they apply to ride-hailing and shared mobility.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in agile environments, able to translate business goals into technical requirements and prioritize trade-offs effectively.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to coordinate across regional teams and explain product decisions to executives and operational partners.

  • User-centered mindset with demonstrated ability to incorporate driver and passenger feedback, safety, and regulatory considerations into product decisions.
