About the team
The Marketing Team is responsible for driving brand, customer and business growth across the UAE, KW and Qatar. We do this by developing marketing strategies and programs to build awareness, create demand, optimize traffic, and continually improve our brand experience customers to deliver growth for the business. We apply research, analyze performance metrics, and provide product and industry expertise and understanding of customer behavior to inform and refine the business’ marketing strategy and execution. We develop content, manage, and deliver targeted merchandising and promotional activities. We apply customer-centric methodologies to improve our brand experience for customers. We drive marketing excellence by measuring efficiency and effectiveness of activities. We deliver improvements in the process to scale delivery.

About the role

The Senior Marketing Manager at Deliveroo is responsible for overseeing the marketing strategies and initiatives of managing restaurants and promotions. The role involves developing and implementing marketing plans for joint business partners and managing restaurant promotion calendar and cross-functional promotions.

What you'll be doing

Restaurant Marketing

Develop joint marketing plans with key, exclusive restaurant partners to drive customer love
Develop and implement best practices with commercial teams (restaurant account management) to ensure the smooth completion of any campaign launches / tasks
Lead and develop marketing templates and best practices based on previous campaign performance to launch / support restaurants
Manages the restaurant promotion calendar alongside director of growth and director of restaurants

Promotions

Existing customer campaigns: Manage and advise on the creation and development of cross-functional growth promotions to drive customer acquisition, retention and order frequency (5GB / ULT)
New customer acquisition: Drives the new customer promotion strategy mechanic to increase incremental NC’s to the platform
Collaborate closely with director of growth, director of grocery and retail and vertical stakeholders to implement clearly execute campaigns and ensure a smooth launch and execution
Collaborate with Senior Marketing: Grocery and Retail to develop and implement customer promotions to drive vertical adoption / retention

Data Science

Utilize data science insights to inform marketing strategies and decision-making.
Forecast cost and %uplift for upcoming campaigns based on previous performance data
Collaborate with the F&S team to identify trends, customer behavior, and market opportunities.
Implement data-driven marketing initiatives to optimize ROI and drive business growth (orders, new customer acquisition and retention)

Team Management

Lead and mentor one direct report (Senior Marketing Associate)
Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to drive marketing excellence
Collaboration with CRM, digital media and brand teams to develop strong media plans (owned and paid) and creative execution

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, operations, and finance to align marketing campaigns (5GB / ULT)

Requirements

  • 8+ years of career achievement in marketing (with demonstrated financial results and business impact), of which a minimum of the most recent 5+ years in B2B2C marketing involving multiple business partners and minimum of 3+ years in supervisory role in the Middle East

  • Proven capability in multi-channel marketing strategies and deployment, data-informed decision making processes and performance-based marketing approach

  • Highly collaborative and possesses excellent communication skills with a passion for building strong relationships. Proven experience to influence, motivate and manage external stakeholders as well as internal teams

  • Entrepreneurial minded, able to articulate new ideas and influence others to gain support.
    Strong learning agility, comfortable dealing with fast paced environments, able to prioritize high impact activities and keep complicated projects moving forward.

  • Self-starter, creative and analytical problem-solver with attention to details. Delivers results quickly and efficiently.

  • In-depth knowledge of B2B2C marketing and good knowledge of Middles restaurant, grocery and online retail scene

  • Good written & spoken English, Arabic language a plus

  • Comfortable with advanced Google Sheets/ Excel, data dashboards and capable of data mining to perform analysis to develop/enhance marketing program

  • Candidates with delivery APP and/ or restaurant/ grocery marketing experience will be prioritized.

  • Experience in marketing for multi-vendor platforms (e.g. eComm sites, hotel booking sites, travel booking sites, payment platforms etc.), or other relevant categories a plus
