The Role

As a Restaurant Strategy Manager, you will lead Deliveroo’s thinking on how we drive future growth of the restaurant delivery category. Combining deep market knowledge, consumer insights, and commercial acumen, you will develop strategies that unlock growth for both Deliveroo and our restaurant partners.

Working cross-functionally with Commercial, Product and Marketing teams, you will define our prioritised growth roadmap and lead or coordinate the majority of initiatives on it. Through these initiatives, you will drive innovative solutions that create mutual growth and, in turn, help us realise our restaurant delivery ambitions while positioning Deliveroo as the partner of choice for restaurants.

This role offers regular exposure to senior Commercial and Technology leaders, as well as the chance to work across all Deliveroo markets. It provides the opportunity to strengthen strategic problem-solving and project management skills as you design and implement the new and different for Deliveroo.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading the identification and prioritisation of high-impact opportunities to drive growth in the restaurant delivery category

  • Defining consumer-led strategies to unlock these opportunities

  • Developing supporting investment cases and leading senior leadership decision-making on them

  • Collaborating with Commercial, Product and Marketing leaders to translate these strategies into future roadmaps and actionable programmes

  • Managing the execution of programmes to ensure strategies are delivered effectively

  • Driving a common understanding of Deliveroo’s restaurant growth strategy across all relevant teams

  • Collaborating with our B2B Content teams to ensure we build external recognition of Deliveroo’s thought leadership in category growth

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years in consulting, investment banking, operations, technology, startups, or a similarly fast-paced, analytical environment

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Comfortable working hands-on in ambiguous environments - building, testing, and iterating where playbooks are still being defined

  • Bias for Action: Results-oriented and impact-driven, thriving in dynamic, high-velocity contexts

  • Problem-Solving & Strategic Thinking: Strong problem-solving and strategic ability with a structured approach to breaking down complex problems

  • Analytical Skills: Skilled in data analysis and building insight-driven models to inform decision-making

  • Project Management: Track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, from scoping to execution, delivering measurable business impact across markets and functions

  • Communication & Influence: Ability to build trust and influence across diverse senior stakeholders, driving clarity and alignment through structured, confident communication - both upwards and downwards

  • Ownership & Proactivity: Operates autonomously with accountability, taking initiative to anticipate challenges, drive progress, and foster effective cross-functional collaboration; a team player who builds strong relationships and resolves issues to maintain momentum
