The Team

The Small Medium Business (SMB) teams are responsible for Deliveroo's relationships with thousands of independent restaurant and retail partners that operate on the Deliveroo marketplace in several markets across Europe, ensuring that they continue to grow and operate. The SMB team spans the full life-cycle of partner interactions from initial acquisition, onboarding, reactive support and proactive account management.

The Role

As a Part-Time UKI Sales Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) focused on generating new restaurant sign-ups to join the Deliveroo platform. Your primary focus will be on driving performance improvements across key KPIs, ensuring SDRs possess skills in monitoring their pipeline and maximizing sales. You will ensure that the team provides a positive and seamless partner experience while being onboarded onto the platform. This role is crucial in ensuring we continue to grow and enable even more SMB partners to get the very best out of our platform.

The primary focus will be on driving performance improvements across key KPIs, focused on productivity, effectiveness, sales acumen, conversion and commercial value. As well as delivering results against sales targets, you will also ensure the SDRs provide a positive and seamless partner experience whilst being onboarded onto the platform and maximising lifetime customer value having used excellent foundations as the springboard. This role is important to ensuring we continue to grow and enable even more SMB partners to get the very best out of our platform.

2025 is planned to be a year of growth and improvement with a huge focus on coaching, you will also be solely responsible for overseeing outbound call campaigns to achieve business growth, tasked with delivering against your own direct KPIs and maintaining a team-wide integration and continuity between full-time and part-time staff.

The part-time SDRs work evening shifts (4pm - 8pm) in alignment with the best lead contact rates, meaning shift timings for this role are 4pm - 8pm, Monday to Friday. You will work in Manchester centre and report to the SMB Head Of Sales. This is a hybrid role, working in the Manchester office 3 days a week.

What you'll do

  • Manage outbound SDRs to lead quality partner acquisition, generate new sales opportunities, and ensure relevant utilisation of Salesforce to track pipeline
  • Execute campaigns adhering to relevant contact strategies that deliver important performance metrics, including sales outcomes, restaurant experience and qualitative results
  • Produce ongoing sales reports with sound analysis into performance ensuring clear action plans are built
  • Performance Analysis: Regularly listen to SDR calls, evaluating their communication skills, product knowledge, sales process adherence, commercial acumen and ability to handle objections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Individual Coaching: Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with SDRs to provide constructive feedback, address specific performance issues, and develop personalised action plans to enhance their sales skills.
  • Team Training: Deliver group training sessions on sales techniques, product features, objection handling, and closing strategies to improve overall team performance.
  • Motivational Support: Provide ongoing encouragement and support to SDRs to maintain high morale and achieve sales targets during times outside of core business hours
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor individual and team sales metrics (conversion rates, average sale value, etc.) to identify areas for improvement and measure coaching effectiveness.

You

This is a fast-paced role which will require you to enjoy working in a target-based environment. You will be passionate about both people leadership and delivering results, along with being able to handle objections and manage growth-focused change.

The required skills include:

  • 2+ years experience in a Sales Leadership role
  • A passion for delivering coaching, documenting it, following up and measuring progress
  • Clear evidence of producing results in a Contact Centre environment
  • Ability to work autonomously outside of core business hours

The desired experiences include:

  • Experience working with SalesForce system for customer enhancement
  • Experience using and maintaining High Velocity Sales
  • Able to switch hats between coaching and leadership, clearly setting boundaries with stakeholders to focus on the task at hand
