You will contribute to all the AOCS design life-cycle starting from phase A/B up to the in-flight activities. These activities include, but are not limited to, supporting/leading AOCS S/S conception and design, beside to the support to all the AIV/AIT tasks.
Roles Duties:
• AOCS S/S conception and architectural tradeoff
• AOCS S/S sizing definition and justification
• AOCS S/S requirement flow-down from system and/or service specification
• AOCS S/S Modes / Sub-Modes definition w.r.t the expected operative scenarios and FDIR management
• Definition of FDIR strategies
• GNC Algorithm implementation & verification
• AOCS S/S V&V activities including performance assessment, SIL, PIL and HIL and all the related documentation
• AOCS Modeling and performance analysis at System level
• Supplier interface and technical authority for equipment’s scouting
• VCD Management at S/S level
Required Skills and Competences:
• Extensive knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink Environment
• Principal architectures of AOCS S/S
• Typical performance and assessment requested for AOCS design and verification
• Typical performance parameters and assessment strategies to cope with requirement compliance (APE, AKE, etc.)
• Estimation Theory and practical implementation of related algorithms
• Control Theory and practical implementation of related algorithms
• ESA AOCS standard ECSS-E-ST-60
• ESA Pointing Budget standard
• Knowledge about the typical Sensors/Actuators and related GSE to be used during the design verification
• Knowledge of Requirement traceability tool ( Jama, Codebeamer, etc. )
• Knowledge of Procurement Process (EQSR, TRR, QR)
The skill that are considered as plus for the current position are:
• Experience on SW Automatic Code Generation
• Knowledge of lower level language (C, C++ ) and Python
Education and Soft Skills:
• Master Degree in Aerospace or Control Engineering with a particular focus on Orbital and Attitude Dynamics and Control
• At least 8 years of experience in AOCS relevant roles, with experience in technical management of resources
• Fluent English knowledge, at least B2 level
• Good attitude for teamwork
• Positive attitude and communication with all the team the other company levels
• Problem Solving attitude
