If you’re energized by solving complex RF challenges, working with advanced test platforms, and collaborating across engineering disciplines, this opportunity offers the chance to directly influence the quality and success of low-power connectivity solutions.
Role Overview
As an RF Test Engineer specializing in automated test equipment (ATE), you will play a central role in validating and qualifying wireless semiconductor devices. You’ll design robust test strategies, build automated environments, and analyze performance data to ensure products meet strict standards for functionality, efficiency, and reliability.
This is a highly hands-on role that blends hardware expertise, software development, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
ATE Development & Implementation
Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for RF and mixed-signal semiconductor devices, ensuring scalability and efficiency in production environments.
Test Strategy & Execution
Create comprehensive test plans and methodologies that validate device performance, functionality, and compliance with design specifications.
Data Analysis & Optimization
Interpret test results, identify trends, and troubleshoot issues to improve product performance and yield.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with design, product, and manufacturing teams to align on requirements, resolve technical challenges, and streamline validation processes.
Process Improvement
Continuously refine testing workflows, automation frameworks, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and product quality.
System Validation
Support broader system-level testing efforts to ensure seamless integration and real-world performance of wireless devices.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
ATE Expertise
At least 5 years of experience developing and executing test programs on advanced ATE platforms, including familiarity with industry-standard environments.
RF & Signal Knowledge
Strong understanding of radio frequency systems, communication theory, and signal processing principles.
Test Equipment Proficiency
Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
Programming Skills
Experience developing test software, with proficiency in Java and familiarity with additional languages such as Python or R.
Interface & Protocol Experience
Working knowledge of common communication interfaces and protocols, including SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet, and high-speed data interfaces.
Preferred Experience
Exposure to low-power wireless technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy.
Experience with system-level validation and verification of complex electronic products.
Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing or wireless communications environments.
Understanding of industry quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Experience mentoring engineers or contributing to team leadership initiatives.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site role based in a major technology hub, offering close collaboration with engineering teams and access to advanced lab and testing environments.
You’ll be part of a team focused on delivering high-performance, energy-efficient wireless solutions that power modern connected devices.
If you’re looking to apply your RF expertise in a role where your work directly impacts product innovation and quality, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution.
