Supply Chain Planning Analyst — Operations & Network Optimization

Role Overview
As a Supply Chain Planning Analyst, you will support and execute integrated supply planning processes across production, distribution, and inventory management. You will collaborate across functions—including demand planning, logistics, manufacturing, and finance—to ensure seamless coordination and alignment.
This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and a deep understanding of how supply chain components interact to deliver business results.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Planning & Execution
Develop and manage detailed supply plans that align production, packaging, distribution, and inventory requirements to meet business objectives.
Monitor execution of supply plans, identify variances, and implement corrective actions or contingency strategies as needed.
Network Optimization
Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of the supply network—from suppliers through distribution—enhancing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service levels.
Inventory Strategy
Support the development and management of finished goods inventory strategies across distribution centers and partner networks, ensuring optimal stock levels and service performance.
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
Participate in cross-functional planning processes that align supply capabilities with demand forecasts, financial targets, and business priorities.
Capacity & Resource Planning
Analyze production capacity constraints and ensure supply plans are feasible within operational limits. Recommend sourcing or investment solutions to address gaps.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Prepare both routine and ad hoc reports to support decision-making and performance tracking.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with stakeholders across demand planning, logistics, manufacturing, and commercial teams to align on priorities and resolve issues impacting supply performance.
Process Improvement
Contribute to the enhancement of planning systems, tools, and processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability across the supply chain.
System Utilization
Leverage advanced supply chain planning systems to support forecasting, scheduling, and optimization activities.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, business, or a related field, with 3–5 years of relevant experience in supply planning or operations management.
Supply Chain Knowledge
Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, distribution, inventory management, and material flow processes.
Analytical Skills
Ability to work with large datasets, identify patterns, and solve complex problems in dynamic environments.
Planning Systems
Experience with advanced supply chain planning tools, with familiarity in systems such as SAP APO or similar platforms.
Business Acumen
Understanding of how supply chain decisions impact financial performance, customer service, and operational efficiency.
Communication Skills
Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels.
Collaboration
Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
