Warehouse Operations Specialist — Engineering & Production Support

Play a critical role in keeping complex hardware programs moving. This position supports the flow of materials across engineering, manufacturing, and production environments where precision, traceability, and timing are essential. You will be responsible for ensuring that components are received, tracked, organized, and delivered accurately to support high-impact technical programs.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in structured, detail-driven environments and enjoys working hands-on with physical inventory while collaborating across teams.

Role Overview

As a Warehouse Operations Specialist, you will manage the movement and tracking of materials from receipt through storage, kitting, and distribution. You will help ensure that parts and equipment are properly documented, traceable, and available when needed to support production schedules and engineering builds.

This position requires a high level of organization, accuracy, and accountability, particularly in environments where quality standards and compliance requirements are critical.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Inspection

Process incoming materials, components, and equipment by verifying quantities, documentation, and condition upon arrival.

Conduct initial visual inspections and coordinate further review with quality or engineering teams as needed.

Inventory Management

Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, locations, and item tracking within inventory or ERP systems.

Perform regular cycle counts and full inventory audits, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

Material Traceability

Ensure all materials are tracked according to traceability and lot control requirements, supporting quality and compliance standards.

Kitting & Staging

Prepare and assemble material kits for engineering builds, manufacturing operations, and testing activities.

Stage materials for work orders, production runs, and internal distribution to ensure timely execution.

Shipping & Logistics Support

Assist with domestic and international shipments, ensuring proper packaging, documentation, and coordination with logistics partners.

Production Coordination

Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure materials are available to meet production timelines and program requirements.

Process & Issue Resolution

Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operations teams to resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, receipts, or inventory records.

Workplace Organization & Safety

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Follow established safety protocols and proper handling procedures for all materials.

Experience

Required Qualifications

At least two years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management.

Inventory Systems

Experience working with receiving, shipping, and inventory tracking systems.

Attention to Detail

Strong accuracy and organizational skills, particularly when managing inventory data and documentation.

Work Environment

Comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment supporting hardware or production-focused operations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in regulated or quality-driven industries such as manufacturing, aerospace, or energy.

Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.

Experience preparing kits for engineering or production workflows.

Certification or experience operating forklifts or material handling equipment.

Understanding of traceability, compliance, or quality control requirements.

Additional Requirements

Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed to support production timelines.

This is an onsite role requiring full-time presence at the facility.

Must be able to comply with applicable regulatory or export control requirements associated with the materials handled.
