This role sits at the core of that transformation. You will help build the backend systems and product surfaces that allow AI agents to operate reliably in production, learning from outcomes and continuously improving performance.
Your Role and Impact
As a Senior AI Engineer focused on new products, you will design and implement the systems that power AI driven features from the ground up. This is a backend heavy role with deep influence over architecture, data pipelines, distributed systems, and asynchronous processing.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, machine learning engineers, and data scientists to turn research and ideas into production ready capabilities that serve hundreds of thousands of customers. Your work will directly shape how intelligent agents are built, evaluated, and scaled.
What You Will Do
You will design and build backend services that support the growth and reliability of AI powered products at large scale. You will create robust data ingestion and processing pipelines that allow machine learning models to train on and act upon massive volumes of behavioral data.
You will develop systems for serving AI models in production, ensuring performance, stability, and observability. You will contribute to the evolution of agent based architectures, improving autonomy, decision making, and execution capabilities.
You will help foster a culture of ownership and experimentation, balancing rapid iteration with strong engineering fundamentals and customer focused thinking.
What You Bring
You have five to seven years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on backend development and distributed systems. You have hands on experience deploying generative AI or agent based systems into real production environments.
Your background includes working with techniques such as prompt design, few shot learning, fine tuning, and evaluation of AI systems. You are a strong backend engineer with a proven ability to build scalable services that support intelligent workflows.
You are proficient in Python and modern backend frameworks and have deep experience with asynchronous processing and distributed task execution. You understand data intensive systems and have worked with large scale data processing tools.
You are comfortable designing and operating cloud native systems, managing infrastructure, and supporting continuous integration and deployment pipelines. You build clean, reliable APIs and understand database design, migrations, and performance tradeoffs.
You thrive in environments with ambiguity and momentum, taking ownership of problems from definition through delivery. You are deeply curious about artificial intelligence and continuously invest in learning as the field evolves.
You enjoy working closely with product partners and, when appropriate, directly with customers to ensure solutions deliver real value.
Additional Experience That Helps
Prior experience training machine learning models and deploying them to production systems is a strong plus. Familiarity with reinforcement learning techniques or outcome driven optimization approaches can further strengthen your impact in this role.
