About The Role
Ship AI-powered product features end-to-end. You’ll integrate LLMs and ML services into user workflows, build evaluation and safety guardrails, and deliver reliable experiences at scale.
Responsibilities
- Design backend services that orchestrate LLMs, retrieval (RAG), and structured business logic.
- Implement evaluation harnesses (offline and online) with quality, cost, and latency KPIs.
- Optimize prompts, fine-tuning/LoRA, distillation, and caching for performance and cost.
- Instrument features for A/B testing, success metrics, and continuous improvement loops.
- Collaborate with research and data teams on datasets, labeling, and feedback pipelines.
- 5+ years in backend/software engineering; 2+ years applied ML/LLMs preferred.
- Proficiency in Python plus one of Go/Node/Java; comfort with vector DBs and embeddings.
- Production experience with cloud ML, observability, and incident response.
- Safety/guardrail frameworks, PII redaction, policy enforcement.
- Generative evaluation (human-in-the-loop, rubric-based, LLM-as-judge with calibration).
