(Senior) Solutions Manager – Forests, Land, and Agriculture (FLAG) Supply Chain & GeoAI

About the role

We are seeking an exceptional (Senior) Solutions Manager to lead the delivery of GeoAI-enabled solutions to Chloris’ customers in the forest, land, and agriculture (FLAG) sector. The Solutions Manager will lead a cross-functional team in the use of geospatial intelligence and AI agents to solve complex land use sustainability problems for companies in areas such as retail, food and beverage, forest products, and agriculture. Reporting the Head of Solutions, the (Senior) Solutions Manager will work with a global team of data scientists, data analysts, and data engineers to design, build, and implement innovative solutions that blend Chloris’ proprietary data, advanced analytics, and GeoAI to respond to the geospatial and sustainability needs of FLAG companies, for their land use emission decarbonization strategy and reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solutions Delivery Leadership: Lead client engagement from the structuring of ambiguous business and sustainability problems to the delivery of Chloris’ solutions by collaborating with clients and internal experts. Deploy AI agents that integrate Chloris data, other geospatial data, and customer data to provide actionable FLAG insights and outputs that comply with relevant frameworks like the GHG Protocol Land Sector & Removals Guidance and the EU Deforestation Regulation.
  • Project team leadership: Lead a project team of geospatial analysts and data scientists, with responsibility for coaching, developing and improving the team’s individual and collective performance during project delivery.
  • Client management: Build trust-based relationships with clients that extend throughout and beyond the project life cycle, by reliably delivering services and solutions that maximize impact. Present results to clients, stakeholders, and other audiences.
  • Solutions leadership: Contribute to the development of Chloris’ solution offerings to the FLAG sector, by transferring the lessons learned from client engagements into scalable solution modules, in collaboration with the Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in sustainability tech, agri-supply chains, or ESG solutions leadership, ideally in top-tier strategy consulting, technology companies, or similar fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and effective communication skills to interact with clients and teams.
  • Leadership skills combining personal dedication to impact, entrepreneurial spirit, inclusive team leadership, and the ability to build trust with colleagues and clients.
  • Experience in successfully leading projects or teams, and in helping execute solutions for challenging scientific or business problems.
  • Familiarity with AI orchestration platforms.
  • Willingness to travel - up to 50%.
  • Highly desirable: experience with remote sensing and geospatial data sources, of Land Use, Land-Use Change, And Forestry (LULUCF) carbon accounting, and of sustainable sourcing, deforestation-free supply chains, and other relevant environmental monitoring and reporting frameworks.

Location + Time Commitment

This is a full-time position anchored in our new European hub in Florence, Italy. This role requires availability for business travel. Fully remote options are available for exceptional candidates.

We are committed to providing a hybrid work environment that allows for in-person and on-site collaboration in our Florence office space, in addition to allowing for the benefits that come from flexible, work-from-anywhere arrangements for part of the week. We will assist in the relocation of qualified candidates who are authorized to work in the European Union.
