About the role

This is a maternity cover role for a period of 4 months, starting 1 September 2025. As a Customer Success Manager, you will be the trusted advisor and primary point of contact for our customers, ensuring they realize the full value of our products and solutions. You will play a critical role in onboarding, engagement, retention, and expansion, working cross-functionally with the science, engineering and commercial teams at Chloris.

  • Project engagement and management: Scope out technical needs and bespoke solutions with customers. Ensure Chloris-internal project management, technical oversight and review for timely delivery of results
  • Relationship Management: Ensure effective communication and engagement with key customers and being a trusted partner who understands their goals, pain points, and opportunities. Project manage complex commercial partnerships with key customers.
  • Value Realization: Help customers understand and unlock the full value of Chloris’ offerings, providing best practices, use case consultation, and ongoing strategic guidance.
  • Issue Resolution: Act as the voice of the customer, coordinating with internal teams to solve complex issues and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Customer Onboarding & Training: Lead a smooth onboarding process for new clients, ensuring they are fully trained and equipped to use Chloris’ platform and data services effectively.
  • Insights & Feedback: Gather customer feedback and usage data to inform product development, customer strategy, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in either Environmental Sciences, Forestry, Ecology, Business Administration or similar
  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in the voluntary carbon market, or related to land use and supply chain sustainability in the food, land use and agriculture sector
  • Experienced user of GIS platforms (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS, Google Earth Engine) and spatial data analysis tools (e.g., GDAL, PostGIS).
  • Client- and customer-oriented mindset; exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem solving leadership, analytical, and communication skills
  • Excellent project management, organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in office software, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Express, in addition to Google Workspace. Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or geospatial APIs (e.g., Earth Engine, Mapbox)

Time Commitment + Location

This is a full time position for a period of 4 months, with the possibility to convert into an indeterminate time role. The successful candidate is based in Europe or the United Kingdom, with a preference for hybrid work from our new European hub in Florence, Italy, but fully remote arrangements are possible.
