*About the role *

Chloris is looking for an experienced, customer-focused Forest Carbon Manager to serve as a key resource for our commercial partners from the voluntary carbon markets. Your technical knowledge of the VCM and nature-based solutions, coupled with strong client orientation and problem solving leadership skills, will ensure successful development and growth of these partnerships. This position reports to the Head of Partnerships, and will work closely with colleagues across the growing Client, Commercial, Marketing and Tech teams at Chloris.

You have experience working with VCM methodologies, and are an expert in forest carbon and nature-based solutions. An understanding of GHG accounting standards and reporting requirements is also helpful to be successful in this role. In addition to such technical knowledge, you are a superb problem solver, and deeply skilled in building and nurturing commercial partnerships.

You understand the potential for algorithmic and d-MRV of forest carbon dynamics to accelerate the transition to net-zero and nature-positive economies. *Responsibilities
Key Account Management (~75%) *

Project manage complex commercial partnerships with key customers in the voluntary carbon markets, from both the public and private sectors
Problem-solve challenges with customers to deliver the maximum value out of the Chloris Platform data and user interface
Lead design and delivery of bespoke technical analyses of forest carbon, in collaboration with data science and GIS team
Communicate data, insights, trends and results to customers, and maintain effective ongoing customer communication

*Strategic Business Development (~25%) *

Promote flawless internal communication that informs product development to meet the needs of key VCM customer and the market at-large
Support new business development initiatives, in partnership with the Head of Partnerships and the Business Development Associate
Stay abreast of market trends and developments to identify new, strategic business opportunities
Support development of technical content for marketing and business development purposes, such as use-cases, case studies and platform demos

*Qualifications *

Masters Degree in either Environmental Sciences, Forestry, Ecology, Business Administration or similar; or Bachelors Degree with relevant experience
4-6 years of progressively responsible professional experience in the voluntary carbon market, or related to land use and supply chain sustainability in the food, land use and agriculture sector
Client- and customer-oriented mindset; exceptional interpersonal skills
Excellent problem solving leadership, analytical, and communication skills
Excellent project management, organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency in office software, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Express, in addition to Google Workspace

*Location + Time Commitment *

This is a full-time position. Chloris is a hybrid-first company with a transatlantic team based throughout Western Europe and the United States, concentrated near our Boston headquarters. This is a global role and we will consider any candidate who can work between Pacific U.S. and Central Europeans timezone.
