What You'll Do

  • Conduct end to end internal control reviews which icludes developing process walkthroughs through flowcharts, performing detailed testing, and evaluating risks using the risk control matrix (RCM) for new products/features and existing processes/systems to surface risks across all risk categories for all verticals.
  • Propose risk mitigation strategies and process improvements to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support the delivery of Internal controls (SOX-ICFR methodology) and frameworks.
  • Coordinate with Group companies on SOX and internal controls testing.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gain insights into their processes and challenges, ensuring a holistic understanding of the business.
  • Provide guidance and support to other teams to enhance their control environment.
  • Coordinate and follow up with business owners for timely implementation of proposed controls and addressing observations.
  • Extract and analyze business related data using SQL and propose necessary process improvements.
  • Assist in automation of internal controls testing and monitoring using a risk management module in Oracle.
  • Liaise and build working relationships with internal / external stakeholders to ensure delivery of projects within stipulated deadlines.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reporting decks on internal controls assignments and other stakeholders meetings.
  • Maintain functional documentation, risk registers and databases in accordance with data protection policies of the company.
  • Assist in other ad-hoc projects as advised by the line manager / HoD.

What You'll Need

  • ACCA / CA Finalist or Bachelors in Accounting / Finance / Risk Management
  • Proficiency in any analysis tools (Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, R/Python)
  • Preferably 3+ years of relevant experience (from Big 4 firms or internal audit / controls function at a reputable organisation);
  • Ability to effectively prioritize day-to-day responsibilities and longer-term projects in a fast-paced, challenging environment;
  • Strong project management, organizational, and collaborative skills to develop and implement solutions.
