Remote Sensing Engineer
CarbonSpace is developing a satellite-powered platform for monitoring land-based carbon footprint. Our goal is to facilitate the global transition to net-zero, by providing the agriculture, food and forestry industries with an accurate, scalable and cost effective tool for tracking emissions and sequestrations from grasslands, croplands and forests. The CarbonSpace platform allows driving carbon footprint transparency within supply chains and assessing the impact of sustainability and natural carbon removal programs.
We are looking to add a highly motivated Remote Sensing Engineer to our growing team. The right candidate will carry out research and development to improve our monitoring and measuring capacity of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions using SAR/Optical satellite data.

Responsibilities
- Analyse requirements for SAR pipelines
- Develop routines for remote sensing data pre-processing
- Ensure data quality
- Analyse time series of SAR & Optical sensors
- Control integration of results obtained from different data sources
- Act as a focal point for SAR products, interfacing with developers, business analysts & the rest of the team
Requirements
- MSc in remote sensing or other relevant discipline, with a minimum of 3 years working experience with remote sensing data including SAR
- Demonstrated experience in GIS
- Proficiency in python
- Strong knowledge of statistics
