You will help us scale our Customer Solutions team, develop great mobile user experiences and deliver exceptional solutions to our customers. Reporting directly to the Director of Engagement Manager, you own the full product lifecycle from initial customer contact, through planning, design, estimation, budget management, execution and delivery.
CMT is looking for a collaborative, customer-committed, and creative Senior Engineering Manager who wants to join us in making roads safer by making drivers better!
Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end engineering delivery and reliability of the DriveWell Portal (CMT’s customer-facing telematics platform), balancing new feature development, BAU, and production stability
- Lead the visioning and execution of the next-generation DriveWell Portal
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across Commercial Mobility, Crash & Claims, and other platform systems to enable a unified portal experience
- Plan and execute migration and consolidation of legacy and support portals into the DriveWell platform with minimal customer disruption
- Ensure high system availability and performance through active engagement in production monitoring and incident management
- Partner with Product and customer-facing teams to prioritize and resolve customer-impacting issues
- Build and lead a high-performing engineering team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 8–12+ years of software engineering experience, including 3–5+ years in an engineering leadership role
- Proven track record of owning and delivering production-grade, customer-facing platforms, with direct ownership of system availability, performance, and reliability
- Strong hands-on experience in designing and operating scalable systems (microservices, web architectures, high read-volume systems), including the ability to analyze production logs, monitor system health, and debug complex production issues
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS preferred) with modern engineering practices (CI/CD, monitoring, observability)
- Demonstrated ability to drive execution in fast-paced, high-change environments, balancing roadmap, BAU, and production priorities
- Experience leading distributed teams and cross-functional stakeholders (Product, QA, Support, Customer Success), and building high-performing engineering teams
