EU Public Policy Manager

We are looking for an EU Policy Manager - based in Brussels - who will play a pivotal role in supporting Bolt's strategic policy initiatives at the intersection of mobility, technology, and digital regulation in the EU.Location: Brussels, Belgium

About the role

This position entails developing and executing strategies for urban transport, including Autonomous Vehicles, navigating complex digital regulations, managing the evolving landscape of local delivery services. The EU Policy Manager is responsible for analyzing policy implications, anticipating regulatory changes, and formulating proactive responses to ensure Bolt's continued success at EU level. You will be part of company-wide strategies for government engagement, represent Bolt in high-level industry forums, and foster strong relationships with EU regulators. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in EU policy management, a deep understanding of the digital economy, and a track record of success in government-facing initiatives.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Regulation: Navigate and influence key EU files in fields such as urban transport, online platforms, AI and labour.
Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Bolt in industry conferences and forums to advocate for the company's interests and establish strategic partnerships with public authorities.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Legal, and Engineering teams to align policy objectives with technical business goals.

About you:

Proven experience in public policy, government affairs, or a highly regulated industry (e.g., tech, transport, or logistics).
Subject Matter Expertise: Proven understanding of the regulatory environment surrounding transport, digital platform regulation, or the delivery sector.
Funding Literacy: Experience identifying and navigating public funding landscapes or government procurement processes.
Strategic Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to translate complex regulations into actionable business insights and advocate effectively to senior policymakers.
Project Management: Strong ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple high-stakes policy files simultaneously.
Adaptability: A self-motivated, solution-focused mindset with a genuine curiosity for emerging technologies and legislative trends.
