Head of Strategy & Planning, Grocery & Retail

We’re looking for a strategic, data-driven leader to shape the foundations of our Grocery & Retail business across Customer Value Proposition, Data & Insights, long-term strategy, and business governance. In this role, you will help define how we understand the business, where we invest, and how we win by turning complex challenges into clear, high-impact actions.Locations: Tallinn, Estonia | London, United Kingdom | Warsaw, Poland

About the role

The Head of Strategy & Planning will lead a small team of analysts and strategists, with scope covering 16 markets, and own the data and insights agenda to ensure the business has the right metrics, frameworks, and analytical depth to make strong decisions. This person will drive long-term strategy, business governance, merchant growth levers, and new initiatives, while partnering cross-functionally to align priorities and execution. It is a high-ownership role at the centre of the business, ideal for someone with people leadership experience, a consulting or data and analytics background, experience in grocery, retail, e-commerce, or marketplaces, and the hunger to help drive the next phase of growth. This role can be based in Tallinn, London, or Warsaw.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Own and evolve the Customer Value Proposition (CVP) for Grocery & Retail, defining the key drivers of customer value and ensuring alignment across teams.
Lead the Data & Insights agenda, building the metrics, dashboards, and analytical frameworks needed to guide business decisions.
Define and drive the long-term strategy, translating priorities into clear roadmaps and ensuring strong execution and follow-through.
Own core business governance processes, including budgeting, MBRs, and product planning coordination, to drive alignment, accountability, and visibility.
Drive Merchant Growth strategy and other high-impact strategic initiatives, from opportunity sizing and business case development through to execution and scaling.
Build and lead a high-performing team of analysts and strategists, while partnering cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Commercial, and Operations to align priorities and unlock growth.

About you:

You have solid experience in strategy, business planning, or management consulting, with a track record of turning business priorities into clear plans and actions.
You have strong business acumen and financial literacy, and are comfortable with strategic planning, business cases, and modelling trade-offs and ROI.
You have strong analytical skills, including experience with data analysis, financial modelling, and performance tracking to support decision-making.
You have experience leading cross-functional initiatives and working closely with teams such as Product, Operations, Finance, and Commercial/Marketing.
You have excellent communication and storytelling skills and can influence senior stakeholders while simplifying complex topics.
You have people leadership experience and have worked in fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally in grocery, retail, consumer goods, marketplaces, or 3P platforms.
