Senior Strategy and Operations Manager

We are looking for an entrepreneurial-oriented and solutions-driven Senior Strategy and Operations Manager with excellent analytical and leadership skills, to take ownership of our Romanian ride-hailing operations initiatives.Location: Bucharest, Romania

About the role

Your role will have a direct and tangible impact through continuous improvement of the driver and rider experience by strengthening Bolt's value proposition in the marketplace, achieving industry-leading supply availability, pricing and quality. You will be working along other Operations Managers of different seniority levels and report directly to the General Manager. You will be involved in the definition and implementation of the strategy for the Romanian market, with a full entrepreneurial view & hold a key strategic position in the management of the Romanian team.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Designing and executing strategies to increase rider or driver engagement and retention while managing a high-performing Romanian team, ensuring operational excellence.
Developing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders (drivers, fleet owners, unions, regulators, government officials, and local communities) to drive business growth.
Overseeing and optimising local operational processes and procedures, while identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities to strengthen the business.
Developing complex analytical models and reporting systems, analysing data to optimise Bolt’s marketplace health for drivers and riders in Romania.
Driving growth and revenue by achieving operational milestones and ensuring active collaboration between local operations and HQ teams to meet business objectives.
Advocating for Bolt’s brand and services while navigating regulatory matters and local policies within the transportation and tech sectors.

About you:

You have 3+ years of experience in an operations management, general management role or similar
You have 5+ years experience in an analytical and/or entrepreneurial position
You are a strong leader and collaborator with excellent English & Romanian negotiation and communication skills (both verbal and written)
You have a data-driven mindset with excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills
You have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Economics, Finance or related fields
You have a strong sense of ownership with a hands-on approach and an entrepreneurial attitude
