Portfolio Operations Associate - Rides Business Development

As a Portfolio Operations Associate, you will be responsible for the end-to-end administration and operational management of our growing portfolio of investments in the Rides vertical. This role is crucial for building scalable systems and processes to monitor performance, manage risk, and ensure the seamless execution of all post-investment activities. You will work closely with our business development team, central finance and operations functions, and portfolio companies to provide the operational backbone for our strategic initiatives.Location: London, United Kingdom

About the role

This role sits within our Rides vertical and focuses on ensuring operational excellence across our portfolio of investments. You will be responsible for building robust processes, ensuring data accuracy, and driving performance management across multiple stakeholders.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Portfolio Data and Systems Management: Manage all portfolio data through our internal systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity for reporting and analysis.
Monitor Financial Metrics: Track payments, CAPEX, loans, and accrued interest, and calculate investment returns (IRRs) while monitoring financial covenants.
Performance Monitoring: Engage directly with portfolio companies to manage the reporting process, including the ingestion and validation of performance information.
Process Design and Improvement: Design, document, and implement new operational policies, processes, and controls to support our growing portfolio.
Stakeholder Reporting and Relations: Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing reporting requirements and building effective working relationships.
Risk Management: Collaborate with local and central operations teams to monitor the portfolio in line with risk management frameworks.

About you:

Minimum of 4 years of experience in a relevant role, such as portfolio operations or corporate finance, gained at a bank, investment firm (PE, VC), or within a corporate strategy/development team.
Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with excellent numerate and analytical capabilities.
Proven experience designing and implementing systems and processes, including writing policy and control documentation.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and manage strong relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Proactive, highly organised, and results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Highly desirable: Experience with financial modelling, data analysis (SQL), and proficiency with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce).
