Business Development Manager, Retail

Bolt Food is expanding beyond restaurants and groceries - and we’re ready to bring fast delivery to new retail categories such as pharmacies, beauty, pet, sports and specialty stores. We want people to get more of what they need, when they need it - and this role will help make that possible.We’re looking for a Business Development Manager who can both open doors and grow business, managing a broad portfolio of retail partners and helping shape the next stage of our platform’s expansion in Romania.Location: Bucharest, Romania

About the role

You will be responsible for signing new retail partners across multiple categories and helping them succeed on Bolt Food. You’ll create a strong pipeline, pitch our value proposition, negotiate agreements and support new partners through launch and early growth phases.Once onboarded, you’ll continue to guide performance - identifying visibility opportunities, supporting operational readiness and ensuring partners see results quickly.This role combines business development and account growth in a fast-paced environment where your impact will be immediately visible.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Identify, pitch and negotiate partnerships with key retailers across pharmacy, beauty, pet, sports, flowers and other relevant categories.
Own a diverse and growing portfolio of partners - from onboarding to commercial acceleration.
Drive order and revenue growth through campaigns, visibility and assortment opportunities.
Build strong, trusted relationships with partner decision-makers.
Use performance data to diagnose issues and drive improvements fast.
Work closely with Ops, Marketing and Product teams to ensure partners are set up for success.

About you:

3 - 6 years of experience in business development, partnerships or commercial roles (retail, FMCG, marketplaces or tech preferred).
Strong negotiation and communication skills with senior stakeholders.
A balanced hunter + farmer mindset - able to create momentum and sustain it.
Solid understanding of how retailers grow through digital channels.
Data-driven approach - you use insights to influence and act.
High ownership, structure and urgency - you move quickly and follow through.
