About The Role

As a Product Security Engineer, the role involves improving visibility into authentication flows, strengthening protections for public-facing endpoints, and addressing attacks against our security controls. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, this position will directly contribute to safeguarding users, ensuring compliance, and maintaining platform resilience.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Improving and implementing product-specific security monitoring rules to increase visibility into platform threats and mitigate risks.
• Providing technical guidance on perimeter security measures, helping teams optimize security detection and monitoring features to their product use-cases.
• Utilizing existing security features effectively, including Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules and DDoS protection, to safeguard Bolt’s products.
• Supporting incident response efforts for cyber attacks against public-facing product endpoints.
• Evolving Bolt’s security posture from reactive to proactive, reducing Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Respond (MTTR) to security incidents and improving overall product resilience against cyber threats.
• Keeping yourself up-to-date with the latest news in the IT security world.
  
  
  

About you:

• You have a strong background in platform security with experience in securing large-scale, public-facing applications.
• You have hands-on experience with security tools and platforms, including WAFs, DDoS protection, and threat detection solutions.
• You have experience in incident response, including log analysis and mitigation strategies.
• You have experience in working cross-functionally across teams to align security monitoring with product needs.
• You have knowledge of attack patterns, threat intelligence, and red/blue team methodologies.
• You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assess threats, identify root causes, and implement security improvements.
