Bolt is looking for a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to grow and scale our Grocery/Retail operations by developing and launching new partnerships across the Slovak market.

This is a full-time permanent employment opportunity. The monthly gross salary for this role starts from 3000€ plus stock options and will depend on your skills, knowledge, and experience.

About The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying and signing top Grocery / Retail partners, managing the end-to-end partner journey—from pitching and onboarding to activation and performance optimization. You'll play a key role in shaping our retail strategy in Slovakia, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive business success and deliver the best possible experience for our partners and customers.

Your daily adventures will include:

  • Securing new business by defining and engaging with key enterprise leads in the Grocery/Retail area.
  • Negotiating and closing deals with potential business partners.
  • Acting as the main contact for new business partners, guiding them through the onboarding process, and addressing operational issues. Maintaining ongoing relationship with partners to monitor and support their performance.
  • Define and implement strategies around the monetisation of partners.
  • Preparing and analyzing key performance indicators, identifying improvement points, and defining growth and marketing strategies.
  • Owning the P&L and budgeting responsibilities for the Grocery/Retail vertical.


About you:

  • You have 3–5 years negotiating with enterprise size accounts (Business Development, B2B Sales, Account Management, or a similar role in the Grocery / Retail industry)
  • You have a proven track record of achieving business growth and sales targets and have experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L ownership.
  • You are fluent in both Slovak and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with decision-makers.
  • You are data-driven, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to drive partner success.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, quickly adapting to challenges with solution-oriented strategies.
