About The Role

As a People Operations Team Lead within the Shared Service Center (SSC), you will manage the team, covering Africa and non-EU markets, responsible for delivering end-to-end employee lifecycle processes.

This role focuses on ensuring operational excellence, supporting team development, and driving a positive employee experience. You will act as the primary escalation point for your team, coordinating daily operations, fostering professional growth, and ensuring alignment with the SSC’s overall objectives.

Working collaboratively with the other People Operations Team Leads and SSC leadership, you will help shape a seamless, efficient, and compliant People Operations function for Bolt.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Development, including acting as an escalation point, to guide and support the team in resolving complex issues.
  • Operational Delivery, ensuring seamless execution of employee lifecycle processes, including joiners, leavers, absences, data updates, and job changes.
  • Compliance & Continuous Improvement, to ensure adherence to local legislative requirements and internal policies.
  • Support deploying new countries and services, including documentation and process optimisation.
  • Champion annual HR life-cycle events such as performance cycles and engagement surveys.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration, working closely with People Partners and other People teams to ensure seamless support and delivery of services, as well as contributing to global People programs and cross-functional projects to enhance service delivery.


About you:

  • You have 3+ years of experience with HR operations or related field. Experience across non-EU or Africa markets would be a significant plus.
  • You have team leadership and people management experience. In this role, you would manage a small team.
  • You have a general understanding of employment legislation in multiple countries across Europe and/or Africa.
  • You have experience taking accountability for seamless execution of employee lifecycle processes.
  • You have experience successfully collaborating with stakeholders regarding global and/or cross-functional projects.
  • You have experience using HR technology, such as/equivalent to Workday, Smartsheets or Box.
