We are looking for an experienced Regional People Partner to play a crucial role in collaborating with in-country managers of Portugal and Malta, driving business results and enabling people strategies within these countries.

About The Role

The Regional People Partner plays a crucial role in collaborating with regional and country leaders to drive business results. The role also works closely with various People team colleagues in their region/counties and relevant centers of expertise to ensure effective manager and employee experiences while implementing people objectives aligned with the overall business strategy. The Regional People Partner is responsible for aligning people initiatives, practices, and policies with global Bolt culture to support local markets. This involves assessing employee needs, ensuring a positive employee experience, and providing data-driven HR expertise.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Manages and implements various People initiatives through local leaders and managers across the full range of People topics (incl. but not limited to, performance management, succession planning, organizational design, employee engagement, D&I programs, exit interviews, compensation reviews, talent management, etc) ensuring there is a standard level of support for leaders and managers in the country
  • Takes the lead on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, and ensuring managers are trained and understand broad processes related to disciplinary or performance issues in the relevant country/countries
  • Contributes to management coaching initiatives to support leadership growth within the countries supported, in alignment with the Regional People Strategy
  • Establishes robust relationships with colleagues across various People teams to implement solutions and align with the Regional People Strategy
  • Contributes to the business conversation, keeps up to date with business strategy, and helps link and initiate conversations on how People function should contribute to mitigate risks and seize opportunities
  • Keeps oneself updated with all changes to internal processes and policies, labor laws, and regulations affecting function or regional group, escalating and supporting any required changes


About you:

  • You will ideally have around 4 - 5 years of experience at a similar level within the Portuguese market - additional experience in Malta would be advantageous but not essential
  • You possess strong English communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills, experience in leading a diverse team, and excel at networking and relationship-building
  • You are great at handling ER cases and have strong ER and labour law knowledge
  • You have expertise in talent management, appraisals and planning
  • Your hands-on work demonstrates a high level of initiative in actively seeking solutions to problems and a strong sense of ownership
  • You have a talent for consistency, educating managers, and ensuring compliance on people processes & leadership topic
