The key to the urban mobility revolution? Micromobility. Our Mechanics help us change how people move around cities by developing and deploying smart, fun and environmentally-friendly electric vehicles. If you're interested in urban mobility and new technologies and want to join a company that's aiming to transform the sector over the coming years — here's your chance!

We are looking for a motivated Senior Mechanic in full-time to support our mission of providing the best service for our customers and the cities we operate in.

About Us

Bolt is one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe and Africa, with over 100 million customers in 45+ countries. We’re a global team of more than 100 nationalities joined on a common mission – to make cities for people, not cars. And we need you to make it happen!

About The Role

As a Senior Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing damages and repairing scooters and e-bikes. This is a very important job, as we are responsible for the safety of our fleet's users. Once repairs have been completed, it will be important to test the scooter or e-bike in order to confirm its safety. You will also be supporting the Lead Mechanic in his/her daily tasks and actively participate in managing the team of mechanics.

Your daily adventures will include:

  • Repair E-scooters/E-bikes to maintain the highest level of quality (this includes a variety of mechanical and electrical repair and service tasks)
  • Prepare new E-scooters/E-bikes for service (unpacking, initial quality checks, upfitting, safety checks, test riding etc.)
  • Analyze complex incidents and fix technical and mechanical issues
  • Assist the Lead Mechanic in team/task coordination proactively (inventory management, shipments, feedback, resource planning and management, quality control etc.)
  • Ensure that the team follows and applies the relevant guidelines and processes in the warehouse (e.g. stations for diagnosis, main issue evaluation, charging stations, battery management, health & safety etc.)
  • Perform weekly and monthly warehouse inspections, identify areas for improvement, and track/implement actions to improve warehouse efficiency and safety
  • Train and onboard new employees

About you:

  • Previous experience as a mechanic (preferably in automotive or electronic repair industries)
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating a team
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and schedule work assignments
  • Hands-on mentality and good problem-solving skills
  • Experienced with using a smartphone, a laptop, and mechanical devices
  • Good English and German skills

Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying if you feel you’re the kind of person described above!

Why you’ll love it here:

  • Play a direct role in shaping the future of mobility.
  • Work in fast-moving teams with some of the smartest people in the world.
  • Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.
  • Take advantage of Bolt credits to ride our scooter and use our ride-hailing services for free.
  • Enjoy various team events to get to know your colleagues.
  • Some perks may differ depending on your location.
