This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will be responsible for supporting Fluids Systems Components to perform development, qualification and acceptance testing of vehicle flight components and sub-assemblies. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of high pressure fluid systems, cryogenic fluids and data acquisition systems. By leading the day-to-day operations of the Precision Tube Shop, including developing resource plans, training/OJT profiles, assigning tasks, prioritizing work orders and conducting performance reviews you will directly impact the history of space exploration!

This position will require shift flexibility to align with changes in business need. Shift schedules are outlined below:
A Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00AM-3:30PM
B Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:00PM-1:30AM
C Shift: Friday-Sunday 5:00AM-5:30PM
D Shift: Friday-Sunday 5:00PM-5:30AM
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support the qualification effort of flight critical fluid system manufacturing processes including CNC tube bending, Orbital Tube Welding, precision tube inspection and Hydrostatic pressure testing
Work with engineering to develop a production readiness state through process standardization and documentation
Support the development of specialized training/OJT packages as required. Maintain department training matrix to continue workforce development, and retain the critical skills required.
Ensure area meets strict FOD and 5S requirements
Ensure area meets all Blue Origin specifications relative to Fluid System Components.
Assist in the forecasting and developing recovery plans for constraints critical to vehicle delivery schedule.
Interface with area leadership to prioritize work based on production schedule and organizational goals.
Implement and refine new manufacturing processes.
Review work instructions and provide recommended changes where necessary.
Ensure product quality and conformance to engineering specifications.
Develop and implement cost reductions processes and efficiency improvement measures.
Support the setup new production work areas, including layouts, and equipment setup, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
5 years of experience in the fabrication, assembly and test of aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle fluid systems components, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
5 years of experience in tube manufacturing processes such as CNC tube bending and orbital tube welding
Ability to safely work around pressurized systems up to 10,000 PSIG
Previous Supervisor / Manager experience
Approachable disposition, broad-minded and open to rapid changing requirements
Calming demeanor in high pressure situations with tenacity to resolve conflict for permanent problem resolution
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CNC tube bending and orbital tube welding fabrication
Deep fundamental understanding of Aerospace manufacturing
Experience with in the field fabrication of pressurized fluid systems
Knowledge of high pressure, cryogenic, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical power systems.
Experience with Creo Parametric, Creo View, Windchill, and Jules software applications
