As part of a passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of integrated test execution for the New Glenn Program at our facility in Merritt Island, Florida. As the Manager of Test Project Management, you will lead a team of test project management personnel in the day-to-day execution of Integrated Vehicle Testing.

This role demands a hands-on approach, where you will be responsible for Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule, and Morale within your team. This position requires versatile leadership, effective communication, and robust project management skills. You will be instrumental in growing our project management to support long-term New Glenn Integrated Testing. Your commitment to excellence will directly impact the history of human space exploration, as meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering dedication to our mission are vital for achieving safe and repeatable spaceflight.

As part of the Production Test organization, you will be responsible for coordination or all test campaigns within the Operations organization. This role supports all teams within manufacturing and the programs to ensure all requirements are met and executed in line with all goals and objectives. Utilizing your program management skills, you will ensure the Production Test team and associated technicians and engineers are all enabled to succeed in a high pressure and fast paced environment, where decisions must be made quickly, leveraging experts and processes to ensure maximum efficiency. As the focal you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing rate targets and escalating blockers quickly for resolution. You will need to the cornerstone of all test activities in a given scope, such that all communications and decisions are funneled through you and information is flowed quickly to the teams and leadership as required. You will be responsible for the project scope, which includes developing, managing, and reporting on resource-loaded schedules, test budgets, staffing needs, program risk, and variances to the plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the TPM team, hiring, training and personnel management. Ensuring all team members are tasked and managed to deliver successfully.
  • Provide strategy and integration for all team members amongst the wider Production Test Team
  • Oversee the execution of complex test campaigns within a world class organization
  • Develop relationships and communication channels with all stakeholders to ensure communication and information flows are established and utilized.
  • Produce test planning artifacts to translate engineering requirements into highly effective integrated test campaigns.
  • Manage all required metrics to ensure on time delivery of executable tasks. This will include budget, schedules, staffing planning, forecasting and risk management.
  • Development of processes and iterating on established documentation to ensure cutting edge performance and leadership.
  • Communication throughout the organization to ensure all stakeholders are constantly aware of progress and needs. Assigning actions to the correct parties to ensure progress can be made with no downtime.
  • Liaise with all parties involved to establish support from require organizations are understood, including PMs, calibrations, external vendors or equipment delivery.
  • Implement any company directed improvements and standards to ensure all teams are operating to the same, world-class, standard.
  • Provide mentoring, training and skills development for team members
  • Promote and inspire teamwork and employee morale
  • Promote and ensure workplace safety
  • Perform critical administrative activities including recruiting, performance reviews, coaching, resource planning and budget management
  • Establish, maintain and improve workplace 5S and FOD controls
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, decision-making abilities, and innovative problem-solving.

Schedule:

  • Manage detailed schedules for all test activities and coordinate progress with higher level IMS.
  • Perform schedule baseline change control, collect and track performance, conduct critical path and variance analyses
  • Provide regular updates to all stakeholders on progress and risks to meet overall schedule
  • Collaborate with purchasing and supplier management to ensure on-time delivery of test article hardware, instrumentation, and GSE
  • Ensure resource and facility conflicts are resolved.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. Business, B.S. Engineering, Operations Management
  • 5+ years’ experience leading projects
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytic skill set and a high degree of proficiency in data mining
  • Exceptional with Project, Excel and manual data analysis
  • Excellent Interpersonal Communication Skills
  • Experience working with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

Desired:

  • MBA or Advanced degree
  • Previous direct people management
  • Previous direct experience with test campaign planning and execution
  • Project Management Certification (PMP)
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Experience with Primavera (P6), CREO, Windchill, Confluence, Jira, Tableau, SQL, MySQL
