This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of experts, you will oversee the integration of Lunar Production Operations planning and execution to enable the evolution of Lunar Permanence. You will lead and share in the team’s impact on all aspects of developing the next generation space vehicles at our manufacturing facilities at our Rocket Park Manufacturing Complex in Merritt Island, FL.

We are in search of an experienced Project Leader to support the integration and evolution of our manufacturing systems at our Rocket Park Facility. This individual will support the Lunar Permanence Teams with the integration across all functions to improve performance while ensuring compliance with technical requirements as we increase production rates to meet customer launch demand. The Integrated Project Leader is responsible for keeping team members on tactical execution by supporting, communicating, and coordinating activities between supporting organizations involved in lunar production.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Applying Manufacturing Operations and Project fundamentals to integrate daily updates across all functions impacting Manufacturing Operations Performance.

  • Operational Efficiency and Process Improvement: Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to identify inefficiencies, streamline processes, and implement improvements that reduce errors, downtime, and production bottlenecks.

  • Aid the Operations team in facilitating effective decision-making on complicated scenarios that will have a major effect on the organization.

  • Collaboratively responsible for effective, efficient, focused, and adaptive decision-making in a high-velocity, intense aerospace environment.

  • Tracking and Reporting Metrics: Monitor and analyze key performance metrics related to production efficiency, technician workload, error rates, and overall process performance. Ensure that all metrics align with the lunar division’s broader business objectives and provide regular reports to leadership.

  • Leadership Support and Action Driving: Serve as a key liaison between technicians, engineers, and leadership, facilitating communication, driving actions, and ensuring that leadership is informed of progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Support for Executive Reporting: Assist the manufacturing operations leader in gathering, analyzing, and preparing key business metrics for presentation to the CEO, ensuring that operational performance aligns with strategic goals.

  • Continuous Improvement Facilitation: Support continuous improvement initiatives by working with improvement teams, offering feedback, and ensuring that process enhancements align with operational goals and strategic business objectives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across multiple departments to ensure seamless communication and that all process improvement efforts are aligned with the overall strategy of the lunar division.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, (Manufacturing, Mechanical Aerospace Engineering, Science or equivalent)

  • 5+ years of relevant program management/operational experience

  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, data

  • Ability to balance technical, business, and organizational influences

  • Demonstrated history of independent work, foreseeing problems, delivering on commitments, and accountability

  • Ability to leverage engineering experience coupled with project leadership

  • Well-developed project-management skills: organized and focused, showing attention to detail, and following up consistently to ensure results

  • Communication skills to collaborate with the leadership teams to help refine and implement written and verbal messaging (both “up” to executives and “down” to the workforce) to ensure that it is understood by the right audiences

  • Demonstrated domain experience operating within at least one corporate function (Manufacturing Engineering, Configuration Management, Operations, and Integrated Project Leadership preferred)

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.

Discretionary bonus: Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
