As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will provide computer support to our engineers and staff, and manage critical information technology infrastructure, for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of IT infrastructure. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities:

  • Secure environment account management, storage management, and local authentication support to ensure a flawless user experience.
  • Administer file server administration, user privileges, and group policy to maintain a secure and efficient network environment.
  • Conduct software testing and restoration operations to ensure system functionality and data integrity.
  • Implement contingency planning and backups to safeguard critical information and ensure business continuity.
  • Install, configure, deploy, patch, and remove computer and server hardware, software, and peripherals to support the organization's IT needs.
  • Effectively identify and resolve issues with computers, servers, virtual machines, and other devices using advanced diagnostic techniques, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Maintain an automated system for change control and patch management to ensure the security and stability of the IT infrastructure.
  • Keep a detailed inventory of all hardware and software to facilitate efficient asset management.
  • Document general processes and maintain comprehensive documentation to encourage collaboration and effective communication within the team.
  • Manage and configure Microsoft Exchange Server, network switches, and virtual machines and environments to support seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide exceptional support outside of regular business hours (weekends, holidays, etc.) as required to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Serve on an on-call rotation, being available after hours via phone to address any urgent IT issues.

Qualifications:

  • US Citizen with an Active TS with current SCI eligibility.
  • This position will require a polygraph conducted by USG customers. Existing polygraph preferred.
  • Proficiency in performing all Security Plus (Security+) type functions to ensure the highest level of cybersecurity.
  • Current DoD 8570.01-M certification (Level IAM II), or the ability to earn a certification within 30 days of employment, demonstrating your proven expertise in information security.
  • A minimum of a B.S. degree in information systems or computer science, or equivalent experience, providing you with a solid foundation in IT principles.
  • 5-10 years’ experience as a system administrator in a windows environment, equipping you with the necessary skills to excel in this role.
  • Experience with Exchange Server configuration and administration, enabling you to effectively manage communication systems.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell or equivalent tools to automate processes, streamlining operations and improving efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent support to computer users with diverse science and engineering backgrounds, effectively resolving complex issues with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to fast-changing priorities and deadlines, thriving in a dynamic and ambitious work environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

Compensation range for on-site WA applicants is $85,140-$113,520.

Other site ranges may differ.

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
