This role is part of Enterprise Engineering (EE), where we provide technical standards, tools, processes, training, and subject matter expertise for product engineering and manufacturing. EE allows all Blue Origin business units to benefit from commonly used capabilities, hardware, and software and assists business units in identifying, selecting, and training engineers from both inside and outside the organization.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of our Windchill PLM system. You will ensure the system is running efficiently, support end-users, and collaborate with other IT and engineering teams to enhance our PLM capabilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Administer and maintain the Windchill PLM system, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and migrations as needed.
  • Configure and customize Windchill according to business requirements.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate Windchill with other enterprise systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to Windchill configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Implement best practices for data management and system security.
  • Participate in PLM projects, contributing to the planning, design, and execution phases.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Windchill System Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windchill architecture, modules, and functionalities.
  • Experience with Windchill configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) and SQL.
  • Familiarity with PLM best practices and data management principles.
  • Experience deploying or managing Windchill in AWS.
  • Proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with related tools such as Creo, MPMLink, SuMa, or ThingWorx,.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and code management.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and tools.
  • Network license management (SAML)
  • Experience with AWS CLI and/or deployment tools like Terraform/Ansible/SaltStack.

Compensation range for on-site CO applicants is $95,783-$127,710

Compensation range for on-site WA applicants is $104,490-$139,320
