As part of a diverse and hardworking team of Integration Technicians, you will be responsible for launch systems fabrication and operation, facility operation, maintenance and integration for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of launch pad systems.

Responsibilities:
- Launch pad system fabrication, operation and maintenance:
- Fabrication, routing, and testing of pressurization and propellant tubing.
- Installation and checkout of wire harnesses and instrumentation.
- Machine shop equipment operation and maintenance.
- Reviewing, editing and following test procedures.
- Operation of test equipment.
- General trouble shooting of instrumentation, valve actuation, and system performance.
- Communication with engineers on design concepts/improvements and development tests.
- Planning and communicating assembly steps for complex mechanical installations.
- Providing design feedback on system installation and operation.
- Safely working with hazardous chemicals and high pressure systems.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in rocket engine test facility support, machine shop equipment, or closely related applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work with:
- Test, flight and safety critical hardware.
- Standard mechanical tools, fabrication shop equipment.
- Experience with pneumatic systems, propellant loading and off-loading systems.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings - GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. work in adverse weather conditions and climb stairs and ladders.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
- 7+ years’ experience in propulsion facility/system or launch vehicle operation, integration or maintenance.
- Working knowledge of a variety of rocket propellants, including hydrogen peroxide, RP, and cryogenics.
- Knowledge in the use of 3D CAD tools (CREO is preferred).
- Familiarity with tube fabrication (bend, flare, fittings, hydrostatic testing) and pressurized system safety.
- Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes, forklifts scissor lifts and man lifts in close proximity to flight critical hardware and systems.
- MIG/TIG, orbital welding experience.
