As part of a unique and highly skilled team, you will be an integral part of our New Shepard Sales and Customer Experience activities. We are seeking a proactive, service-oriented individual with excellent communication, discretion, and customer relations skills that can thrive in a fast-paced environment, while embracing teamwork. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and communicate effectively. You will be responsible for supporting New Shepard Sales 80% of the time and Customer Experience 20% of the time. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

New Shepard Sales Responsibilities:

  • Lead all B2C New Shepard seat sales to include:
    • Using the Customer Resource Management tools to manage and maintain the MOS, drive actions with the cross-functional team, filter and keep all leads and interactions updated
    • Developing an efficient system to manage and respond appropriately to thousands of in-bound online submissions
    • Tapping into a pre-established network to identify and contact prospects and convert them into sales
    • Build and lead an opportunity pipeline for thousands of individual and corporate customers, to include tracking management
    • Identifying external events/activities to attend that are appropriate, target rich environments
    • Identifying and assessing external opportunities that would be appropriate for individual participation or better suited for a larger footprint of participation
    • Leading customers through the full sales process including contracting, payment (with legal and accounting), and hand off to Customer Experience
    • Stay in touch with customers through their flight and for any follow on sales
    • Build strong internal relationships and lead a cross-functional team including; Legal, Contracts, Finance, Accounting, Communications, and Enterprise Technology
    • Learn the competitive landscape and become an expert in the suborbital tourism market
  • Accountable for any additional add-on sales (e.g., seats, crushables, etc.)
  • Provide onsite launch support for all NS Astronaut Launches including astronaut, guest and VIP operations, and supporting pre- and post-campaign operations and coordination
  • Support other company events as necessary
  • Support the pursuit of new corporate sales partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (in Business, Hospitality, or other field)
  • 5-10 years’ experience selling to UHNWI clients
  • Experience in the luxury goods or luxury travel industry
  • Independent and driven leader who can identify opportunities and take action
  • Adept public speaker with media experience a bonus
  • Already established customer list and contacts
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Competent and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across a matrixed team for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Prior hospitality experience
  • Prior experience working with high level executives
  • Adaptability as mission needs evolve
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior time management skills
  • Ability to contribute positively as part of a team, assisting with various tasks
  • Unyielding to Blue Origin policies and procedures
  • Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for customers
  • Ability to work a minimum 40-hour week
  • Overtime may be needed as mission requires
  • Valid Driver’s License

Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $115,920-$ 154,560

Employee Benefits include: Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave (must be employed at time of birth or adoption), short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program available after 1 year of service.

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays for all regular employees (including part-time), fixed-term, and interns.

Discretionary bonus: Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
