As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, and engineers, in this role you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and technical inventory management of packaging of hardware within the supply chain.
These tasks include:
- Qualification and maintenance of packaging solutions for parts protection
- Optimize production processes to enable material flow with expendable and reusable packaging
- Review engineering drawings and specifications to understand physical characteristics, special handling, safety requirements, and material types required for packaging
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, delivery, and handling
- Resolve packaging quality issues, provide container maintenance and technical support
- Organize critical packaging data to enable supply chain processes by tracking and tracing packaging inventory
- Monitor packaging usage
- Cycling
- Re-orders
- Alternatives
- Adjust accurate inventory
- Accurate location
- coordinate the movement of shipping containers from site to site
- Inspect and receive parts returning to stock from work orders
- Initiate, log, monitor, and manage purchase orders and invoices for new and existing containers
- Thorough communication of any potential schedule impacts
- Blanket POs for general shipping support
- Develope automated asset tracking systems
- Create non-controlled drawings to support general shipping requirements

Qualifications:
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent education/experience.
- Must have 1+ years of directly related experience (including internships, co-ops) in packaging or in an engineering role.
- Ability to analyze engineering drawings and specifications to establish packaging requirements
- Understanding of packaging equipment, packaging materials, and current packaging technologies
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software
- Experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience with statistical analysis methods and related tools
- Experience organizing and managing materials and process-related data in a company accessible database
- Exceptional interpersonal communication, organizational, project management, and technical packaging skills
- Knowledge of lean concepts
- Knowledge of high-volume production processes
- Experience with MRP or ERP systems
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
- Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, medical or military environments
- Experience with all modes of transportation vendors
- Experience with International Shipments
- 49CFR Hazmat Certification for all modes of Transportation

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays for all regular employees (including part-time), fixed-term, and interns.
Discretionary bonus: Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
