Position Purpose: The Sr. RF Systems Engineer will be working in a team environment, with frequent opportunities for customer engagement, new business development, concept design, detailed design, analysis, integration, and test, plus on-orbit operations.

Pay Range: $108,000 - $200,000
(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
On-site position at our Lafayette, CO location (work locations are subject to change based on business need).

Job Responsibilities:
· Detail-oriented and learning big-picture view, skilled at problem-solving and prioritizing time.
· Competent with RF Systems requirements development, verification techniques, subsystem design and link analyses, with growing ability to teach others these skills.
· Competent with RF Systems layout and impacts to other subsystems, skilled in the standard configuration and interfaces, with growing ability to assess non-standard configurations and interfaces and the impacts to other systems.
· Experienced with the RF subsystem component details and understands how changes may impact the system.
· Regular interaction with hardware suppliers and BCT subcontracts with minimal oversight.
· Develop hardware procurement documentation.
· Skilled with RF subsystem testing, efficiency improvements, performing RF testing, leading RF NCR investigations, reviewing test results and creating test reports.
· Provide valuable input to system level tests that make use of the RF system.
· Ensure testing follows all safety guidelines. Creates and modifies test plans, can tailor testing for specific program requirements for efficiency and continuous improvement.
· Skilled with mission concept of operations including identification of problems, able to compose new space-to-ground ICD and providing lead RF support to mission operations across diverse missions.
· Communicates within and outside of RF Systems team to gain cooperation on operational processes and procedures and to resolve issues.
· Competent leadership and mentoring skills within team and across team boundaries.
· Manages complex projects or processes with as needed oversight.
· Comfortable with public speaking. Able to confidently present to BCT peers and support interactive discussions with BCT leadership and customers on more complex topics.
· Ensure all business is conducted using the highest ethical standards and in compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations as well as company policies and directives.
· May include personnel management responsibilities.
· Other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications/Education:
· 7+ years of related experience.
· BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required.
· Experience as a spacecraft systems engineer, RF subsystem engineer, RF subsystem test engineer.
· Skilled with RF system design or RF system testing.
· Demonstrated capability in the use of RF test equipment including power meters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and RF modems.
· Strong systems engineering skills in RFI/EMI and mitigation.
· Must be able to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
· Experience in all phases of the program life cycle (business development, mission formulation, requirements flow-down, manufacturing, integration and test, and on-orbit operations).
· Experience in space communication system design, link budget analysis, component specification/procurement, RF system testing and on-orbit operations.
· Ability to conceive and develop RF communications designs across a diverse set of customer needs.
· Ability to establish balanced technical and cost solutions.
· Ability to efficiently work with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large engineering teams.
· Experience with satellite communication encryption strategies.
· Proficient documentation and communication skills.
· Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
