Position Overview: Own and govern enterprise project and portfolio management standards, ensuring strategic alignment, execution discipline, and value realization across Ball’s project portfolio and the Fuel For Growth (FFG) Program. Act with autonomy for project delivery frameworks, portfolio decision support, and performance governance, enabling leadership to make data-driven investment and prioritization decisions.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Own and enforce enterprise project planning standards and execution models, ensuring consistent application across complex, cross functional initiatives.
  • Govern and execute formal escalation processes across the FFG (Fuel for Growth) program, ensuring timely decision making, role clarity, and resolution accountability at the appropriate leadership level.
  • Independently govern project execution quality, risk posture and delivery health across the portfolio intervening when performance thresholds are not met.
  • Set and enforce project expectations clearly and timely to team members and stakeholders
  • Determine delivery methods (e.g., waterfall, agile) based on initiative complexity, risk profile and strategic objectives.
  • Continuously mature enterprise project and portfolio management capabilities, governance structures, and delivery disciplines across Ball.
  • Make informed decisions on project approach, issue, risk management, and dependency constraints based on business context.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders especially regarding project changes and acts to resolve cross-functional delivery conflicts impacting portfolio outcomes
  • Lead a multidisciplinary project team to deliver within quality and business expectations.
  • Serve as owner of the portfolio governance system, providing assessments, prioritization scenarios, and investment tradeoff recommendations to leadership.

Required Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Proficiency in English
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, and MBA in Project Management.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, Trello, Jira, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently assess delivery performance, risk exposure, and dependency impacts, and to recommend corrective actions or intervention strategies.
  • Experience with various project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and other continuous improvement methodologies, e.g., DMAIC, Kanban, and Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience using EVM metrics to inform governance decisions, forecast outcomes, and recommend intervention strategies for at‑risk initiatives.
  • Experience governing projects through formal stage gate processes, including gate readiness, and progression decisions across the project lifecycle, leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives with increasing scope, autonomy, and decision‑making responsibility.
  • Organizational, analytical, interpersonal communication and presentation and attention to detail.
  • BI Tools and dashboard construction (Power BI / Qlik Sense) and Microsoft Tools to Process Automation

Preferred:

  • Spanish (basic / intermediate)

  • Location: São José dos Campos/SP
  • Hybrid on-site work environment or remote: Preference is hybrid (based in São José dos Campos/SP, this position requires regular on-site presence for three (3) days per week, with core collaboration days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.) or remote from the location of the candidate
  • Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
